Mind Tricks to improve your focus and calm your brain

*it's really based in science

I’ve recently become a fan of mindfulness. There’s a growing body of evidence that it can make positive brain changes, and since it can be done by anyone, it is something I want everyone to be aware of.

Mindfulness can help:

  • Reduce stress, anxiety and depression

  • Improve mood, sleep, and mental health

  • Lower blood pressure, heart rate, and chronic pain

  • Increase immune function, brain functioning, and awareness

  • Enhance attention, focus, clarity, and memory

  • Improve emotional regulation and coping skills

  • Build relationships and communication

  • Improve physical health and well-being

I’ll be presenting this talk twice in the coming weeks, both online in an interactive format. You’ll learn some of the science behind mindfulness and practice some of the techniques. Older kids, teens, and adults can join from home and learn while having fun.

The first offering will be in June.

🗓️ When: June 9th at 1PM CST

📍 Where: online (Zoom)

🤩 Who: Students, parents, and adults

ADHDKC also has groups for parents of kids with ADHD, adults with ADHD, and women with ADHD. All meetings are free and open to the public, though we encourage everyone to join CHADD for added benefits!

This ADHDKCTeen talk is open to parents as well as middle and high school students. All are welcome to all of the ADHDKC events!
